| Dog Interaction and camping |
You are welcome to bring "Fido" along as long as you observe a few fundamental rules. Keep on leash on arrival and during your camp set up. Keep on leash when at office/shop or at ammenities (not in ammenities) Keep on a leash during all times unless you are actualy engaged in some interaction such as ball throwing, swimming, or remote area walking away from other campers. The only other one is you must pick up after "Fido" goes to the toilet. |

| Annual "Pie Bakeoff" |
Australia Day has found a new tradition at NCBR. this is when we host the annual "Pie Bake Off" which commenced in 2009. The rules will become more defined for the future. Such as, Camp oven only, open fire or heat beeds to cook pie. (gas can be used to pre cook filling) Filling to be cooked on site.
The inaugural bake off had 32 entries we want a minimum of 50 in 2010.

| Trail walking |
Various tracks & trails (many are mowed & maintained) provide for hours of enjoyment for all ages & levels of fitness.
The “Creek walk” being the lowest energy suits everyone from the kids to the grandparents. The “lower slope trails” are easy for most & give you great views. The “Mountain trails” & “Twin gorges trail” are for the more energetic. Any person attemping the Gorge walks should inform the office of their intention. (SEE MAPS BELOW) |

| Walking Trail 1 Map |
There are several walking trails (approx 15 kilometres in all) that traverse the property. Ranging from low level easy walking through modest to extreme. Our trail (1) is the most popular with a total distance of 4k. The degree of difficulty is 20% as a couple of hills are encountered, the longest being 300 metres. Whils this trail can be walked easily by most in 45 minutes allow 1.5 hours to enjoy the views and scenery along the way |

| Trail 2 Map (The Gorge) |
With a degree of 60%, difficulty this is a most rewarding trail. Starting at the entry you will climb around 300 metres over a distance of about 800 metres, much of which is climbing up the washed mossy rock gorge. You will encounter a variety of flora along the way including fig trees, ferns and epiphytes, not to mention the occasional lazy python. The views are sensational with many photo opportunities. DANGEROUS FOR YOUNG CHILDREN or UNFIT PERSONS. SLIPPERY WHEN WET.

| Trail 3 Gorge (CLOSED) to Children |
Gorge walk Track 3 is CHALLENGING even for the fittest of bush walkers, it consists of rock climbing and scrambling. The trail is not marked. There have been several incidents of lost people that have ignored the warnings.
DO NOT ATTEMPT UNLESS YOU TALK TO OFFICE.

| Canoeing - B.Y.O Canoe |
Lots of fun can be had with canoes (even when the creek is only trickling)
For the enthusiast you can travel around 2 km up Delaneys Creek from the wallaby waterhole, or over 1 k.m. north in Neurum creek from the platypus pond (the creek is subject to seasonal rise & fall so check with us prior to bringing your canoe) |

| Bikes – B.Y.O. pedal power bikes. |
There are approximately 2 kilometers of roads within the retreat, plus many tracks & trails for riding (helmets & road rules apply to all) enthusiasts can venture into Mt Mee State Forest (3Km) and visit the rock pool waterhole quite easily by bike
In addition to our normal roads, we also have the Juniour BMX Track where hours of fun and tonnes of energy are put in by the kids ! |

| Games & Playgrounds |
We have a “Sand Bocce” pitch, that will challenge the best bocce players and the fun seekers. (Bocce ball sets are supplied free)
Other games include: Marbles, Hopscotch, Quoits, and Badminton. (all free for use)
Our program of development is to add various kids activities & adventure games, so keep checking our website for what’s new.
Organised games are held on several occasions. |

| Giant Thong Races |
For both Kids and Kids at heart. The giant thong races will be a feature on the school holidays (Saturday) We are amazed at the competative spirit of even the youngest campers, and boy was it a lot of fun! |

| Kids Club Entertainment |
Several times throughout the year we provide “Kids Club Fun” such as “Face painting,“Treasure hunting” & "The Neurum Tug of War", (Check the events page for the program) |

| Can Castle Building |
This is a first for Neurum Creek.
The concept was developed on Australia day 2009 as a new summer activity and will become an annual event. |

| Swimming |
The all time favourite of the kids, the “Shady waterholes” are great for water fun and exerting energy (parents must supervise their own children)
The waterholes are subject to rise and fall over the various seasons.

| 4WD & Motor bike recreation |
While there is no 4WD’ing or Motorbike riding on the property, Mt Mee State Forest is just 3 Kms, offering endless tracks & trails for the enthusiasts. Permits are not required. All vehicles (cars & Bikes) must be registered and Drivers/Riders licenced. |

| NO MINI BIKES |
Mini bikes (motor driven) and un-registered trail bikes are strictly NOT ALLOWED to be ridden on the property and must be kept on transport vehicles at all times. ZERO TOLERANCE APPLIES.
Registered trail bikes with licensed riders may be ridden at walking pace only from campsite to property entrance.

| Birds, Butterflies & Botany |
More than 80 different birds have been identified on the property, a list & pictures are available at the office. Butterflies abound during the late summer, autumn & early winter months.
There are vegetation communities that are regionally significant, not to mention a large specimen “Ficus Virens” a rare deciduous Fig. The more well known trees are Silky Oaks, Red & White Cedars, Bottle-Brush, Grevillea, Guava & Bush Lemons and more, all are putting on a show at different times throughout the year. |
